ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

: (A) EDUCATIONAL:

(i) Graduate in any discipline plus bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute; OR

(ii) Integrated graduate in Law (five years duration) from a recognized University or Institute.

(B) EXPERIENCE: For Graduate in any discipline plus bachelor’s degree in Law Holders:- One year experience in handling litigation & court matters/administration of Law in a Government organization OR For Integrated graduate in Law ( five years duration) Holders: Two years’ experience in handing litigation & court matters/administration of Law in a Government organization.

DESIRABLE:

(i) Additional one year experience in corporate/ criminal law matters.

(ii) Masters’ in Law (LL. M.) from a recognized University or Institute.

NOTE-I: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE-II: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

DUTIES:

(i) To assist filing of prosecutions/complaints in all the cases that are investigated by the SFIO in the concerned courts and pursue their progress.

(ii) Coordination with the counsels detailed by the Government.

(iii) Maintenance of data-base of court cases.

(iv) Any other work assigned from time to time. HQ: New Delhi with All India Service Liability (AISL).

Salary Of Prosecutor In India

Salary Of Prosecutor In India:-  Candidates who are going to be appointed prosecutor at SFIO will get a salary of Level- 08 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

SFIO Vacancy 2022 Age Limit:- Candidates age should be maximum 30 years as on the form filling date.

UPSC SFIO Vacancy Application Fee:- Candidates age to pay the application fee of Rs. 25/ (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card. No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community.

No “fee exemption” is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
